 The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of over 500 tropical islands located in the Bay of Bengal, to the southeast of mainland India, closer to Myanmar and Thailand. They form a Union Territory of India, with Port Blair as the capital.

The islands are known for their pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, coral reefs, and lush forests. Only some islands are open to tourists, while others are reserved for tribal communities or protected areas .

  • Monsoon (June–September) can bring heavy rains but offers lush scenery and fewer crowds.

  • By Air: Flights from major Indian cities (like Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi) to Port Blair (Veer Savarkar International Airport).
  • By Sea: Ships also operate from Chennai, Kolkata, and Visakhapatnam (takes 3–4 days).
